Bass Pro Shops: The Strike Championship Edition - Nintendo Switch
Have you ever thought of taking a break from those fast paced action games? Maybe like just to float on a lake and take in the calm quietness of nature? Well, if you ever have come across this thought, you’re not alone, as there are some fishing games that have made an impressive rebirth in these recent years.
There are times when even well known games like Final Fantasy X4 felt the need to have a fishing follow-up included with them, and there are times when these timewasters can really become pretty addicting, such as the Zelda games.
This Bass Pro is actually a store dedicated to all the things such as hunting and fishing, and they are no stranger at all for brining in the hunting and fishing experience over to gaming consoles.
So, all you have to do is hop back into the boat with this Bass Pro Shops: The Strike – Championship Edition and catch some fish for yourself.
This game plays just like a standard fishing game. You can drive your boat across various lakes in order to find the perfect fishing spot for you. The boat you have in this game is very easy and simple to control with no wonky water physics getting in your way.
This game uses motion controls in order to allow you guys to cast your hook in a range of different ways and it will surely take some of your personal skills to learn how to do all of this so perfectly each and every time.
Once you guys get a fish to bite onto your hook, at that moment you have to battle with it by trying to drain the stamina of the fish while at the very same time keeping your line from breaking.
All these battles you will have with fishes can actually drag on some time depending on how big in size the fish caught in your line actually is. You also have a GPS here that will show you a map of the current lake you’re on, as well as some other effective features like your statistics in the fishing.
You also get some game modes to choose from. There is a mode known as Career that has you traveling to several lakes across the United States in order to raise and enhance your fishing reputation and also compete in some tournaments.
In Quick Fish, you get to visit any level that you have recently unlocked in your campaign in the Career mode without any restrictions. Invitational is unlocked when you will complete the Career mode and it will put all your skills to the test in an all-out tournament as well.
Then there is a Challenge mode that lets you and up to 3 of any local player take on a series of some fun games. Though, segregating off from the multiplayer into its very own thing is really a huge missed opportunity, to be very honest. It would have been so much fun to be able to do fishing with your friends via a co-op tour.
